GAMBLE MILL INN & SUITES RESERVATION TERMS & CONDITIONS

We strive to provide our Guests with an exceptionally clean, safe, and friendly Inn experience.  The following reservation terms and conditions have been established based on industry standards.  These are considered a part of our reservation agreement with you.  As our Guest, by registration you are agreeing to abide by them.  They are presented here to help promote our Guests’ safety and enjoyment.  Our reservation terms and conditions may change from time to time.

Upon reserving a room (whether made by you directly with Gamble Mill Inn & Suites or via a third party such as a travel agent, AirBnb, etc.) you will be deemed to have read, understood and accepted these reservations terms and conditions.

Guests who refuse to abide by these terms and conditions are subject to fines and additional cleaning fees.  Guest(s) found in violation of occupancy limits, visitor policy, pet policy, 100% smoke-free policy, or noise and trash are subject to a minimum $500 fine and immediate removal from the property, with no refund. Additionally, Guest acknowledges that they may be subject to consequential damages as a result of their violation, including, without limitation, damages associated with the inability of Gamble Mill Inn & Suites to conduct short term rentals of the Property due to any permit revocation or suspension that may result from Guest’s use thereof.

HOUSE RULES

  • Do not move the artwork or articles in the suites or rooms from their fixed places without permission.

  • Do not change the position of the furniture and fixtures in the suites or rooms without permission.

  • Do not bring the following inside the building:

    • Animals, insects, birds, etc.

    • Things giving off a foul smell.

    • Any weapons, guns, swords, etc.

    • Explosives, or articles containing volatile oils or gasses that may ignite or catch fire.

    • Any other articles that may pose a threat to the safety of other Guests or customers in the building.

  • Do not scream, sing loudly, or create loud noises by any other actions inside the hallways, suites, or Guest rooms, as it may disturb other Guests or customers in the building.

  • Do not leave your personal belongings in the hallways or the lobby.

  • No smoking anywhere on the premises. This includes vaping and other smokeless products.

  • Practice safe cooking habits and do not leave burners or the oven on unattended.

  • Do not cook with strong smelling ingredients.

  • Bed linens and towels are not gifts and should remain in the apartment and placed where they were originally found on checkout.

  • Televisions, voices, or other devices must be kept at respectful low levels at all times. Doors should be opened and closed quietly.

  • No congregating or running in hallways.

  • Food and drinks may not be consumed in the common areas and hallways.

  • Bicycles are not permitted in the building, suites, or Guest rooms.

 

CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT

Check in time is 3:00 p.m. Early check-in is offered based on availability.

PLEASE NOTE that check-in cannot be completed until full payment and security deposit pre-authorization for the room or suite has been received and approved.   

Check out time is 11:00 am. If Guests fail to check out by 11:00 am and the cleaning crew arrives, Guest will be charged $75.00 per hour in which said crew waits.

All trash in excess of one bag must be bagged and disposed of in a trash bin located in the parking lot.

All pots and pans must be cleaned and put away. Any dirty dishes, glasses, silverware must be placed in the dishwasher and run prior to departure. Refrigerator must be emptied.

Failure to comply with the above “Check-Out” instructions will result in an automatic $75 charge and $75 for every additional hour required to clean. The charge will be issued to the card on file or taken out of the deposit, whichever is applicable.

100% SMOKE-FREE

This is a 100% Smoke-Free property.  For safety and to assure that our facility is not exposed to items or actions that create an odor which is unhealthy and objectionable to our Guests and staff, and that is difficult to remove from the air, carpet, walls, and furniture we do not permit smoking tobacco, marijuana, illegal drugs, e-cigarettes, vape pens, vaping, cartridges containing the liquid of nicotine, hookahs, incense, cigars, candle burning, fireworks, the use or diffusing of patchouli oil or other strong-smelling plant-based essential oils or synthetic products in or on our property.  Violators of this policy are subject to eviction with no refunds and a minimum $500 cleaning fee and any cost associated with removing smoke or odors from property, as well as any loss in turnover due to the room being unavailable. 

Guests are encouraged to notify management (contact information on page 1) immediately if they smell cigarette, marijuana, or other objectionable odors.

COOKING, COMBUSTIBLES, FIREWORKS

The safety of our Guests, staff, and this facility is extremely important to us.  Except for the stove, microwave and refrigerator provided in the rooms and suites, preparation of food in suites and Guest rooms by any other type of cooking appliance is prohibited. Open fires, flames or cooking grills, either charcoal or gas, and fireworks are not allowed anywhere on or in the property.

We ask that you refrain from microwaving or cooking any pungent food as the odor is difficult to remove from fabric. A $500 cleaning fee, deodorization fees, as well as any loss in turnover due to the room being unavailable will be assessed for lingering smells that require room closure and deep cleans.

PET POLICY

Domestic or commercial animals are not allowed in the building at any time unless approval has been given prior. Any sign of a pet onsite associated with the Guest’s group will be cause for immediate eviction and forfeiture of all rental fees. Additional cleaning fees starting at $500 may also be assessed.

Exceptions to this are dogs for the blind, hard of hearing or other comparable service dogs, which may be brought at no charge and at any time. Emotional support animals are not allowed.

FIRE SAFETY POLICY

The building, suites, and Guest rooms are fully equipped with smoke detectors and emergency evacuation plans on the door of each Guest room.  Please review this important information.

Please notify management (contact information on page 1) in the event of a fire or other emergency.

FREE WiFi ACCESS

Access to our WiFi is free for our registered Guests.  The WiFi access code is subject to change without notice.  WiFi signals are subject to change without notice depending on the room’s location, the status of our WiFi-equipment, and interference from other local wireless signals.  We assume no liability for Guest use of the free WiFi.

MAXIMUM GUEST OCCUPANCY

Please note that booking a room or suite at the Gamble Mill entitles only the registered Guest(s) listed on the reservation to stay overnight and use the common areas.

Room occupancy requirements are based on fire code/fire safety restrictions. Occupancy totals are listed on the Gamble Mill website, gamblemillbellefonte.com. If you exceed the maximum number of Guests allowed, you will be asked to rent another room or suite for proper accommodations or vacate the premises.

VISITORS & NO IN-ROOM PARTY

There is a very strict policy regarding non-registered visitors of registered Guests. One visitor is permitted for every one Guest. Guest(s) are responsible for visitors.  Visitors must be accompanied by the registered Guest at all times. Visitors are only permitted until 10:00 P.M. 

We enforce a No In-Room Party Policy.  No parties, loud disturbances, and/or noise-nuisance are allowed or tolerated in the building, suites, or Guest rooms. In the event of a disturbance or if Guest(s) do not follow visitor policy, Guest(s) may be asked to leave the premises without refund and may be assessed a Guest Compensation Disturbance Fee.

CHILDREN 

Children of all ages are welcomed. As the parents, guardians, or chaperones of children you are personally and legally responsible for and must supervise them at all times. The building, suites, and rooms are not child proof. Amenities such as furniture with sharp edges, games with small pieces, cleaning products and other examples known and unknown pose safety issues for unsupervised children. For safety reasons, please do not leave children unattended or allow them to roam unsupervised. Persons under 18 years must be accompanied by an adult. Children under the age of 14 must be supervised by a grown-up Guest at all times during the hotel stay.

ADDITIONAL BEDDING

A limited number of air beds and baby cribs (pack-n-play) are available upon request.  Availability is on a first-come, first-served basis. Air beds are not allowed in a single room suite. For safety, only a sheet is provided with the baby crib. Cribs are provided for use at your own risk and parents are responsible to assess and ensure safety before and during use.

DO-NOT DISTURB AND ACCESS TO SUITES & ROOMS

As the suites will not be cleaned during the stay, it is not expected that housekeeping will need to access the suites. However, if needed, housekeeping reserves the right to enter the suites for safety or other reasonable purposes, such as an emergency, housekeeping, maintenance, verify that the room, its furnishings, and mechanical equipment are intact, or to address or prevent a violation of these terms and conditions. We will notify the Guest or knock first. In the event of suspected illegal activity, we reserve the right to summon law enforcement to aid in eviction. The right to privacy ends when these terms and conditions are violated.  Law enforcement will be granted immediate access to the building, suites, and rooms of evicted Guests.

HOUSEKEEPING/ROOM INSPECTION

We reserve the right to inspect the room if needed. Housekeeping and cleaning is provided upon checkout. At that time the suite will be cleaned and inspected. Suites and rooms are rented to Guests in appropriate condition without any prohibited odor.  Housekeeping and staff are trained and skilled in identifying the odors from prohibited items.  If our investigation concludes that you have created damages, smoked in your room, or brought a prohibited item into our facility, you will be fined, and/or evicted without any refund.

ADA/HANDICAPPED ROOMS

One Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant Guest room is available and should be reserved in advance.

GUEST REGISTRATION

We require valid contact information from the Guest making the reservations including first and last name, address, email, phone number, and signature.  Guests making the reservation must be 18 years and older.  The names of all Guests occupying the room must be registered. Information regarding your license plate/car description is also gathered at check-in for security.

 

PAYMENT AND CANCELLATION POLICY

The total cost of the reservation must be paid at booking. Please make sure to receive a reservation confirmation number when you make a reservation.

If guests cancel up to 30 days before check-in, they can get a full refund. After that, guests can cancel up to 7 days before check-in and get a 50% refund on the nightly rate for all nights. After that, no refund will be given. Guests can also get a full refund if they cancel within 48 hours of booking as long as the cancellation occurs at least 14 days before check-in.

In order to cancel a reservation a cancellation confirmation must be received, contact management via phone with any additional questions. Email cancellations are not valid.

 

Credit will not be given for any unused or cancelled reservation and the amount paid by you for such reservation cannot be used toward any other/future reservation.

 

RESERVATION AND PAYMENT FOR GUESTS BY PRIVATE THIRD PARTIES

Generally, third party payment is not permitted.  In the case of paying for a family member if you will not be physically present, we require prior completion and approval of a Credit Card Authorization form including a copy of your driver’s license and the front and back of your signed credit card.  You will be responsible for any and all damages and loss.  We reserve the right to refuse reservation at any time for any reason.

GIFT CERTIFICATES & PREPAID BOOKINGS

Please contact Gamble Mill Inn & Suites directly to purchase or redeem gift certificates. If you are using a Gamble Mill Inn & Suites gift certificate as your deposit, you still must provide a valid credit card at the time of booking.

RATES

Minimum Stays: The minimum stay is two nights for weekends (Friday and Saturday night), unless otherwise noted.

Extended Stays: Please call us for special pricing for extended stays.

Tax: Centre County Hotel Tax = 5% and PA State Tax = 6%.

All rates are quoted in United States currency, plus tax.  Rates may increase without notice.  Rates as advertised on the gamblemillbellefonte.com website or any other website or promotional material are subject to change at any time and may increase or decrease.  Rates are subject to availability.

The booking price includes the following: All Utilities (water, gas and electricity), internet and cable TV usage, towels and bed linen, cleaning before and after your stay, and all amenities and facilities as mentioned on our website pages and in our correspondence.

EXTENDING YOUR STAY

After you have booked your stay with us, you can extend your stay (depending on availability) by simply letting us know before you arrive. If you are already staying with us and you would like to stay longer, please let us know at least 24 hours before your check- out date. We will do our best to accommodate your new plans and this can include relocating you to a similar room/suite should this be necessary.

DISCOUNTS

We do not offer discounted room rates for participation or employment in organizations such as AAA, AARP, government employees, etc.

​

LOST & FOUND POLICY

We assume no liability for lost, misplaced, stolen, or damaged valuables or belongings. If you discover that you have left behind something of value to you, please call management immediately (contact information on page 1) and we will try to assist you in locating your lost item. There is no guarantee that they will be found. Any item, with the exception of perishable items, found after departure by Housekeeping will be collected, logged in, and kept in a secure location. Items are held for 30 days and then are donated to charity. Perishable items, underwear, and miscellaneous toiletries are discarded.  

 

If found, we would be happy to return your lost item(s) to you by the United States Postal Service.  Sorry, no UPS or FEDEX deliveries.  Your credit card will be charged packaging and postage, plus a $25.00 handling fee.  We are not responsible for any item lost or misdirected during shipment by the United States Postal Service. 

 

ALCOHOL POLICY

 

Registered Guests of legal age who choose to bring their own alcoholic beverages must consume those inside their Guest room or suite.  Alcohol is not allowed in public areas such as the lobby, halls, outdoor areas, parking lot, etc.  

 

Guests are allowed to purchase drinks from The Republic Bar for consumption in their suite.

 

FIREARMS AND WEAPONS

 

The safety and security of our Guests and staff is extremely important to us.  Our Firearms and Weapons Policy is designed for the protection of our Guests, vendors, staff, and owners, and pertains to the presence of firearms and weapons on or in the premises. Any Guest or visitor who is in possession of a firearm on the premises is personally responsible for abiding by all applicable federal, state and local laws with respect to firearms. Subject to the following restrictions, Guests who are lawfully permitted to possess a firearm may bring such firearm onto the premises, provided that the presence of the firearm: is for storage purposes only; the firearm is and remains at all times unloaded; the firearm is and remains secured in a locked, hard-sided firearm container, provided by the Guest, while transported to or from the Guest room or suite and while stored therein; and the firearm remains securely safeguarded at all times in a locked Guest room or locked personal vehicle, except when transporting the firearm to or from a Guest room or suite. Guests who fail to abide by this policy may be asked to leave the premises, without refund. The premises are private property, and our firearms policy applies to: (i) all firearms, regardless of whether the firearm is a handgun or a long-barreled gun; and (ii) all Guests and visitors, even those possessing a valid license or permit to carry a firearm. The only exception to the restrictions described in this firearms policy statement is for law enforcement officers and designated military personnel, who are on-duty and required to carry firearms in the performance of their duties.

 

PARKING AT OWN RISK

 

All vehicle(s) must be listed on the registration at check-in.  Parking for registered Guest(s) is free.  All vehicles are parked at the risk of the owner.  We assume no liability or responsibility for any vehicle, occupants, or contents while operated or parked on the property.  If a vehicle is left in the parking lot after the Guest has departed without the written consent of Gamble Mill Inn & Suites, we reserve the right to have the vehicle towed at the owner’s expense.  No vehicle repairs on the premises. Trailers, Campers, RV`s, or Boats are not allowed in the parking lots unless approved in advance by management. 

 

DAMAGE AND/OR THEFT OF GAMBLE MILL PROPERTY

 

During your stay, the Guest rooms and suites and all equipment and furniture should be treated with care and kept in order. You are liable for any damage caused (whether by the deliberate, negligent, or reckless act) to the room(s), premises or property caused by you or any person in your party whether or not staying at Gamble Mill Inn & Suites during your stay.  Pre-existing damages or room issues must be reported to management (contact information on page 1) immediately after registration to avoid responsibility and potential charges. A detailed review of the condition of the apartment and all equipment and facilities will be made soon after check-out and before another Guest occupies the apartment.

 

We reserve the right to retain your credit card and/or debit card details as presented at registration and charge the credit /debit card such amounts as it shall in its sole discretion deem necessary to compensate or make good the cost or expenses incurred or suffered by Gamble Mill Inn & Suites as a result of the aforesaid.  Should this damage come to light after the Guest has departed, we reserve the right and you hereby authorize us to charge your credit or debit card for any damage incurred to your room or the property during your stay, including and without limitation for all property damage, missing or damaged items, smoking fee, cleaning fee,  Guest compensation, costs that arise due to activation of the fire alarm system, any loss in turnover due to the room being unavailable, consequential damages, etc. We will make every effort to rectify any damage internally prior to contracting a specialist to make the repairs, and therefore will make every effort to keep any costs that the Guest would incur to a minimum. If Guest is unwilling or unable to pay for damage caused by their group within 15 days from the departure date, they will be responsible for the cost of repair in addition to the cost of all legal, attorney and administrative fees required to collect the balance owed.

 

Suites found with waste strewn around or with significant disorder will be subject to maintenance deep cleaning fee, administration fee and/or third party fees.

 

Damage to rooms, fixtures, furnishing and equipment including the removal of electronic equipment, towels, art work, etc. will be charged at 120% of full and new replacement value plus any shipping and handling charges. Any damage to property, whether accidental or willful, is the responsibility of the registered Guest for each particular room or suite.  Any costs associated with repairs and/or replacement will be charged to the credit card of the registered Guest. 

 

Damage to mattresses and linen including; towels, mattress pads, sheets, bedspreads, blankets resulting from the use of body oils, make-up, shoe-polish, or damage by bodily fluids, etc. will result in a charge for the special cleaning, repair or replacement of the damaged article.

 

Security/Damage Deposit: If a security/damage deposit was required and paid then any additional fees or damage costs will be deducted from the security/damage deposit immediately. Any costs or fees greater than the deposit or where the deposit has already been returned, will be charged to your credit or debit card. Security/damage deposit refund is subject to damage inspection of the Guest room or suite. The deposit will be fully refunded, within 14 days, after the check-out inspection if the apartment is in good order.

 

DAMAGE OR TAMPERING WITH FIRE DETECTION SYSTEMS/FIRE-FIGHTING EQUIPMENT

 

We reserve the right to take action against any Guest or visitor found to have tampered or interfered with any detection equipment throughout the property, including detector heads in public areas, Guest rooms or suites, and fire extinguishers.  Guests or visitors found to have tampered with any fire detection or fire-fighting equipment will be charged with any costs incurred due to their actions and will be evicted and removed from the property.  Depending on the severity of the Guest actions, law enforcement may become involved.  Should the fact that fire-fighting or detection equipment had been tampered with come to light after the Guest has departed, we reserve the right and you hereby authorize us to charge your credit or debit card for any damage incurred during your stay, including and without limitation for all property damage, missing or damaged items, smoking fee, cleaning fee, Guest compensation, costs that arise due to a fire alarm, any loss in turnover due to the room being unavailable, consequential damages, etc.

 

COVID-19

 

We have taken enhanced health and safety measures for us, our Guests, and our staff. An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is a contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, senior citizens and Guests with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable. By visiting the Gamble Mill Inn & Suites, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.

 

ILLNESS AND EPIDEMICS

 

We reserve the right to refuse accommodations to a Guest arriving with a contagious disease.  In cases where sickness occurs during the stay, please notify management (contact information on page 1).  In the case of serious sickness, you may be requested to receive appropriate health care from a nearby healthcare facility.  During epidemics we are entitled to employ precautionary measures within our judgment or as required by local authorities.

 

LEGAL

 

The links provided on the gamblemillbellefonte.com website are for the convenience of site visitors and are provided in good faith. We do not accept liability for the contents or links provided on such websites, nor do we accept liability for any indirect or consequential loss arising out of the use or connected with its website. We make a best effort to ensure that all the information that appears on this website is accurate.  However, no warranty, expressed or implied, is given that the information provided on this website is error free.  We do not accept liability for any errors and/or omissions, and reserves the right to change the information published at any time and without notice.

 

Every effort has been made to assure that the information on our website and 3rd party booking services is correct. Gamble Mill Inn & Suites will not be held responsible for advertising errors. We make every effort to relay accurate information via pictures, descriptions, relative pricing and website. There will be NO refunds due to Property discrepancies.

 

Gamble Mill Inn & Suites is privately owned and operated.  We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason(s) that does not violate Federal or State laws.  We have a zero tolerance policy in which we will refuse to admit or refuse service or accommodation in our Guest rooms or suites or may remove a person, without refund, who refuses to abide by these terms and conditions. We will refuse service or evict a Guest: for refusal or failure to pay for accommodations, is under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any other intoxicating substance and acts in a disorderly fashion as to disturb the peace of other Guests or is not in compliance with state liquor laws; acts in a disorderly fashion as to disturb the peace of other Guests; is unable to properly supervise their children at all times, seeks to use the Guest rooms or suites for an unlawful purpose; seeks to bring onto the property: an unlawfully possessed firearm; or something, including an explosive or hazardous or toxic substance, that is unlawful to possess and that may be dangerous to other persons; destroys, damages, defaces, or threatens harm to the property or Guests; causes or permits persons to exceed the maximum allowable occupancy of room, refuses to abide by the terms and conditions established herein.

 

By reserving a room or suite, Guests enter into a contract for accommodation. It is prohibited to resell/sub-let and/or pass on booked rooms or suites to third parties. In particular, it is not permitted to pass on rooms and/or suites to third parties. It is likewise not permitted to assign or sell any claim against Gamble Mill Inn & Suites. Use of the Guest rooms and suites for a purpose other than that of accommodation is expressly prohibited.

 

Contracts for accommodation and related agreements to be entered into between Gamble Mill Inn & Suites and the Guest to be accommodated shall be subject to these Terms and Conditions. Any particulars not provided herein shall be governed by laws and regulations and/or generally accepted practices.

 

Gamble Mill Inn & Suites assumes no liability for damages, expenses or inconveniences due to loss of services out of its control and Guest waives any such claims.

 

No later than the date of arrival, the full cost of accommodation plus any additional services booked will be charged to the credit card. If it is not possible to charge the amount to a credit card, we reserve the right to cancel the reservation made, whereby the Guest loses the right of use of the room or suite.

 

Gamble Mill Inn & Suites reserves the right to cancel reservations at any time. Any resulting claims for damages are restricted to the total cost of accommodation of the stay booked.

 

In the event Gamble Mill Inn & Suites must bring action to enforce the terms and conditions of this Agreement, Gamble Mill Inn & Suites shall be entitled to costs and fines plus attorney’s fees incurred whether or not suit is filed.

 

Guest acknowledges that the maximum recourse the Guest has against Gamble Mill Inn & Suites for any alleged breach of the terms and conditions of this agreement is the amount of the monies paid and hereby waive all additional claims it may have.

 

Guest agrees to indemnify, hold harmless, and defend Gamble Mill Inn & Suites against all liability, judgments, expenses (including attorney’s fees), or claims by third parties for any injury to any person or damage to property of any kind whatsoever arising out of their use of the Property, Guest rooms or suites.

 

This Property, Guest room, or suites may become unavailable due to circumstances outside of our control. In such an event we will do our best to make alternative arrangements for you where possible. If we cannot, or if the alternative arrangements are not acceptable to you, then we will refund all the monies paid. This will be the full extent of Gamble Mill Inn & Suites liability to you in such circumstances, and we will not be responsible for any other costs connected with any such cancellation, howsoever arising.
